Mimosa is a universal scheduling and course planning software application for use in any kind of school and university of varying type and size. It is also used to schedule conferences and work-shifts in business and industry environments. The application is fast, user-friendly and has an extremely large capacity. It has a very rich set of efficient optimization and interactive tools for all kind of scheduling tasks, and there are altogether 600 menu selections available, although you normally use only a very small fraction of them. Can I create timetables manually or automatically?
Yes. You can create them in both ways and also mix these approaches in any way you want. When creating timetables manually, Mimosa prevents the creation of conflicts and it gives to you hints of optimal actions to create perfect timetables. When you want to take a break, let Mimosa create a good starting solution or to move lectures across timetables in order to make compact timetables.
Can I use Mimosa in my school or company?
Mimosa has been installed in thousands of schools and universities in 61 countries. The flexible architecture with many user-defined elements, plus the menu selections makes it the best tool to suit the needs of all types of institutions with timetabling and resource problems. Mimosa is not limited to educational institution use. There are no built-in school-specific or national features, which could prevent you from using it in your unique environment.
Is it possible to move data between other applications?
Mimosa supports text file and several Clipboard formats to easily import and export your data. You can easily build a seamless bridge between Mimosa and any administration application and also synchronizes several Mimosa files into one file.
Can I change the appearance of reports?
All Mimosa timetables and reports can be sent to any printer, but you can also create HTML pages and publish them in Internet or Intranet for your students, staff or everyone interested or entitled. You can also use Clipboard to copy data to your spreadsheet application to print the reports according to your reformatting specifications.
