Statistics window

This window shows a tabbed views containing six pages of summary statistics of the current Mimosa file. On tabs where Copy button is visible, user is also enabled to copy the content of the current page onto the Clipboard as well and paste it to other applications.

Courses

This tab displays sums of all course lectures and weekly bookings by course categories, booking types and weeks. Click Copy to copy the content of this tab to the Clipboard.

Components

This tab displays sums of all component lectures and weekly bookings by component categories, booking types and weeks. Click Copy to copy the content of this tab to the Clipboard.

Volumes

This tab displays with the help of percentage numbers and graphs the amount of resources that have been used so far. In most cases, the capacity of Mimosa is much larger than you are expected to need. The items listed in this view are:

  • Courses and components (MAX=8191)
  • Scheduling information (MAX approx. 300,000 timetables)
  • Course collections (MAX>32,000)
  • Weeks (MAX=255)
  • Time periods in a day (MAX=30)
  • Manual rooms (MAX>10,900)
  • SUM of MAX (allocated of defined lectures)
  • DONE of SUM (scheduled of allocated lectures)
  • Collections - course collections by their number of components (LINKS)
  • Component links - components by the number of the courses they refer to (LINKS)

Files

This tab contains information about the date, time and size of the current file, plus similar information of the corresponding backup file (.bak) and text file (.mxt), if they are generated. See the file selections at Options|Other.

  • Mimosa installation folder (target folder for updates)
  • Size of the current Mimosa file
  • Mimosa version number related to last file save
  • Date and time of last file save
  • Name of backup file .bak (if selected, see Options|Other)
  • Name of text file .mxt (if selected, see Options|Other)
  • Number of comment lines
  • Number of memo lines
  • Name of annotation file (if it exists)

Timetables

In this page the number of timetables of courses created and components is displayed plus the total number of gaps counted from all appropriate component timetables. Also some technical data concerning the compression ratio of timetables is displayed.

Course blocks

This list contains statistics about all course blocks lengths (1-30) in timetables.

Bookings blocks

This list contains statistics about all bookings blocks lengths (1-30) in timetables.

Graphs

This tab represents the summary data for all scheduled components. You can select the component code from the list and view the following graphs:

  • lectures allocated for week
  • lectures scheduled in timetables
  • lectures booked
  • gaps in timetables
